S. H. and G. Burnett, Peoria
Burnett & Bostwick, New Orleans

The relationship between these firms is unclear. S. H. And G. Burnett published titles in 1852-1854. Burnett & Bostwick was active between 1854 and 1856.

What is known is that they both published the Silver Lake Stories as well as several other titles most of which were previously published by Alden, Beardsley & Co. In fact, these books are identical to the Alden, Beardsley volumes with the exception of the inserted Burnett company title page.

The S. H. and G. Burnett "Silver Lake" titles were published in 1853 whereas the Burnett & Bostwick volumes were published in 1854.

Neither of these firms published any other juvenile series.
