Cory and Daniels, Providence
Geo. P. Daniels, Providence

Cory and (John Edward) Brown was established in about 1831. It succeeded Cory, Marshall and Hammond, another Providence, Rhode Island company. Edward Cory joined George Pond Daniels to establish Cory and Daniels in 1834. By 1836 George P. Daniels was publishing on his namesake imprint. In about 1848 Weeden and Peek succeeded Geo. P. Daniels.

There is evidence that Cory and Daniels published two juvenile series: 6.25 cent Toy Books and the Beautiful Colored Toy Books. These sets were reprinted by Geo. P. Daniels.

The Geo. P. Daniels' house published four series.

1. 6.25 Cent Toy Books (Also Cory and Daniels)
2. Beautiful Colored Toys (Also Cory and Daniels)
3. Plain Three Cent Toy Books
4. Story Book Series
