New England (Universalist) Publishing House

This firm was established as the publishing arm of the Universalists in 1862 and in May, 1865 bought the stock of Tompkins and Company. The purchase included the well known periodicals' subscription lists of The Universalist Quarterly and the Ladies' Repository.

This firm also reprinted the two Tompkin's Juvenile Series and published a number of sets not previously published by Tompkins.
