Benton Smith

Benton Smith was a publishing agent for the Universalist Publishing House beginning in 1867. He succeeded R. A. Ballou. As would be expected, he published and edited mostly the same series in addition to many Universalist periodicals including: The Universalist, The Myrtle, Ladies' Repository, Universalist Quarterly and General Review and Universalist Register and Almanac.

The Benton Smith books are uncommon. Various title page dates have been seen for the titles in these series. I suspect that the titles from all six series were published in each of the following years: 1867, 1868, 1869 and 1870.
