Whilt and Yost, Philadelphia

The named partners were J. T. Whilt and Charles Yost. This firm appears to have been mostly involved in a bindery business. It did publish Bibles and a few other titles. It was active from as early as 1854 until at least 1866.

I believe it published only one juvenile series. Of note is that this series was also published by John Ball, Charles H. Davis, Hayes and Zell and T. Ellwood Zell.

Whilt & Yost advertised this series in an 1855 book. Thus, the approximate date of publication.

It is not known whether "Christmas Tree and Other Stories, for the Young" is part of this series.
