D. Austin Woodworth, New York

D. Austin Woodworth published the Youth's Cabinet beginning in 1846. His brother Francis Channing Woodworth edited the periodical. Along with aforementioned magazine, Woodworth also published the "Sabbath School Monitor".

Woodworth published one series of books which were written for juveniles. His brother Francis wrote these volumes.

1. Stories about Animals, with Pictures to Match (1849)
2. Stories about Birds, with Pictures to Match (1850)
3. Wonders of the Insect World (1853)

D. Austin Woodworth introduced these first edition books as a series with the publication of book #2.
The first two books were subsequently published as a series by Phillips, Sampson & Co. Miller, Orton & Mulligan as well as Derby & Miller also published these volumes (#1 and #2)
