This series was published first by Graves & Young in 1867 as "Aunt Hattie's Library for Her Little Friends"
In 1868 Henry A. Young & Co. published the six books of this series which were sold as a boxed set with this new name. The titles were combined with “Aunt Hattie’s Library for Boys” to make up a twelve book series ("Aunt Hattie’s Library") also sold as a boxed set. In 1880 the set was published by Henry A. Sumner & Co.
