Bark Cabin was part of the "Out-of School Library" when it was
introduced in 1880. This series was introduced in 1881. Some ads note
the first two books as the Bark Series. The four books when listed
together are called as the Bark Cabin Library.
The first two titles by Rand have common characters. The other two
books have unrelated content and were apparently added to the series
for the 1881 Christmas season.
Cloth. Various colors. Gilt cover letter box. Floral cover design
in black and gilt. 16 mo. (7.25" x 5")
These titles were published in several different Lothrop series.
