In 1864 when Aunt Fanny's Fairy Tales was published, it was noted to be a companion book to Seaside and Fireside Fairies. In 1867 this series of three books was introduced.

In 1864 the format of books #2 and #3:
Cloth. Blindstamped. Gilt illustration and lettering on the spine. 7.25" x 4.75".

The Duffield Ashmead version of this series has not been seen. Descriptions note gilt lettering on the cover and the spine - not unlike the "Boys and Girls' Illustrated Library Series".
