Published by Howe & Ferry
1. Guy Carlton, the Story of a Boy Who Belonged to the Try Company (Copyright 1859 by Howe & Ferry)
2. Dick Duncan, the Story of a Boy Who Loved Mischief (Copyright and title page with only Howe & Ferry as publisher 1860)
3. Jessie Carlton, the Story of a Girl Who Fought with a Troublesome Little Wizard and Conquered Him (Copyright 1860 by Howe and Ferry)
4. Walter Sherwood, the Story of an Easy Good Natured Boy (Copyright 1861 by Howe & Ferry)
5. Kate Carlton, the Story of a Vain Girl (Howe & Ferry copyright and title page 1862)

Volume #1 was published in 1860 and in 1861 by Brown, Taggard & Chase and co-published with Howe & Ferry. BT & C is the lead imprint but Howe & Ferry has the 1859 copyright. In 1862 Fred'k Brown published this book as the lead imprint. I have not seen an 1859 or 1860 edition of this title with Howe & Ferry being the main imprint. Thus although it is most likely that the first edition was published by Howe & Ferry, the earliest edition I have seen is the Brown, Taggard & Chase 1860 book.

Volume #2 Howe & Ferry imprint alone in 1860. Not known whether Brown & Taggard published this title but it is likely. In 1862 Fred'k A. Brown published this book as the lead imprint. Howe & Ferry also published a copy that year on its imprint.

Volume #3 Howe & Ferry imprint alone in 1861. Brown & Taggard also published this title in 1861. In 1862 Fred'k Brown published this book as the lead imprint.

Fred'k Brown published #4 and #5 but the first editions were published by Howe & Ferry. It is not known whether these books were published with Howe & Ferry or not.

Howe and Ferry published all five books on its own imprint for certain by 1863. Other editions seen in 1864, 1865, 1868, 1869 and 1870.

These books have been seen with an 1870 title page date even though the company dissolved in 1869.

Several full page black and white line drawn illustrations noted,
