These titles were first published in England by Wells, Gardner & Co. James Pott & Co. published the first American editions in the early 1890's. The Pott format was identical to the the English book and most likely used the same plates. In a number of instances Pott has been seen as a co-publisher of the books with Wells, Gardner. The books pictured here are from the English editions which are much more commonly found than the rare James Pott & Co. volumes.
