Introduced as a series by James Miller in the mid-1860's. These editions are all reprints.
Illustrated
Two formats of these books in the mid-1860’s have been seen. It is
not clear which (or both) are part of the series.
Examples of both are shown below.
Cloth. Various colors. Front cover has gilt centrally placed pattern within which is the title. Spine has gilt decorative pattern and title. 4.5" x 7".

(sometimes also seen in gilt). Spine has gilt lettering and
a book specific illustration.
