This series was first published in 1842 by B. B. Mussey. A number of
other publishers printed this series.

Thomas Y. Crowell & Co. published this series in 1883. By the early
1890's these six volumes were combined into three books.
Cloth. Front cover has black line drawn illustrations of a farm scene,
book shelf and children reading. Gilt letter boxes and lettering
are noted also. 7" x 4.5"
(The same cover format was used in the Rollo Series, Jonas Books, and
Lucy Books)
The two in one books had the same cover format as the single title
volumes.
