Books #2 & 3 were first published in a common format in 1878 by Cassell, Petter & Galpin. #1 was first published in 1880 by Cassell, Petter, Galpin & Co. The illustrated board covers changed when the latter publisher printed books #2 and #3.
All three books were included in the 1880 "Little Sunbeam Stories".
