Tilt and Tilt & Bogue, a London publisher, in the 1830's had printed a number of these volumes prior to the American publications.

Smith & Peck published fifteen titles in 1845. "Little Poems for Little Folks" was published by Smith & Peck but not in its advertised list.
Not included in the 1845 group but published later by Loomis & Peck are:
-"Little History of the United States"
-"Famous Men of the United States"
Smith & Peck published editions in 1843, 1844 and 1845.
Durrie & Peck published these books in the 1840-1850's as the main publisher and also as the co-publisher with Smith & Peck, Loomis & Peck, Horace C. Peck, and H. C. Peck & Theo. Bliss. Most likely Durrie and Peck published the same titles as the firm's co-publisher.

The group of seventeen volumes were printed by Loomis & Peck (known cloth editions in 1845, 1847 and 1848).

Horace C. Peck deleted "Child’s History of Fishes" from the seventeen book list and added #17-28 to the series in 1850 and published all 28 volumes. Numbers 17-28 had been previously published in 1847 by Edward W. Miller, a Philadelphia firm. H. C. Peck & Theo. Bliss published the 28 volume series between 1851 and 1862. Although advertisements in Theodore Bliss & Co. books note this series, I have found no evidence that this firm actually printed the "Miniature Juveniles".

Each of these little volumes has 48 illustrations.
