The four volumes were introduced by D. Lothrop & Co. as the Winter Evening Tales late in 1885. By 1888 these books made up the New World Library.
In 1887 #1 and #2 were part of the "Venture Library".
#3 and #4 are part of "Our Adventure Library".
The books from these series have not been seen.
