J. B. Lippincott & Co. published these three titles as the "Our Young Folks' Library" in the early 1880's.
In 1895 J. B. Lippincott Co. called the three books the “Young Folk’s Historical Library”. The books of the latter series have not been seen.

Illustrated

Two formats. The cloth bound books are the first editions. Illuminated board book covers (which were published starting in 1889) have not been seen.

Cloth. Cover and spine have gold gilt lettering and letter boxes. Cover has a picture of a chariot with horses. 6” x 8.25"
