This library was introduced by D. Lothrop & Co. in 1884 and at that time included three titles: The fourth title, “Browning Boys", was added in 1887. By 1888 there were ten books in this series. Books #9-10 were published by D. Lothrop Company. In 1888 the series was called the “Pansy Intermediate Library".
The only format seen for these series is shown below. It is unknown if there are earlier styles.
