Noted for the first time in the 1882-1883 catalogue.

Each book has five set scenes and nine trick changes. There are ten pages of text.

Half bound. Each cover has circles within which are illustrations or lettering. This format was "borrowed" from the earlier publications of Dean in London. 10" x 7.5".

In 1891/1893 the series format, as well as the titles within the series, changed.

These volumes are 9.5 x 12.5. When the book is closed the front cover appear like the proscenium arch of a theatre.
When the cover, which is divided in the center, is opened the stage with the actors are apparent. The pages of the book resemble scenes on a stage.
