All of these books were published in 1867.

This prize series needs to be distinguished from the later New Prize Series for Boys and Girls.

Multiple full page illustrations.

Two formats have been seen. It appears that the gilt title on the cover format is the earlier of the two.

Format 1:
Cloth. Gilt title on the cover. Gilt lettering and “prize volume” on the spine.
These editions appear to be earlier because of the 1868 date on a title page. 7” x 4.5”.

Format 2
Cloth. Blindstamped.
Gilt title and lettering that says “Prize Library” is noted on the spine.
(This can be seen —barely— on the book below.) 6.75” x 4.5"
