The Sheldon editions of these books are all reprints except for New
York which was copyrighted in 1868. The first edition volume of
Sheldon's New York has 1869 under the imprint. Sheldon published its
editions of the reprints of the first seven books initially in 1869.
Previously these titles were published by Walker, Wise & Co. (first
editions of #1-7), Walker, Fuller & Co. and Horace Fuller.
Subsequently these titles were printed by John R. Anderson and Dewolfe,
Fiske & Co.
Two 1869 formats have been seen. The earlier book has earlier back ads.
