This series was previously published by John McLoughlin. The
McLoughlin Bros. published it beginning when it started in business in
1859. It is listed in the catalogues until 1883.
The earliest editions seen have the 24 Beekman address. (1859-1862) on
the cover and the title page. The 30 Beekman Street address indicates
an 1863-1869 address.
Eight pages not including the covers. There is a colored illustration
on each page.
Wraps. Cover has a picture of Uncle Frank reading to children. This
cover is common to all the editions. 4.75" x 5.75"
