Copyright for all the books is 1868 but the first edition imprints
are 1869. These volumes were released on September 15, 1868. Reprints
have been noted in 1870, 1871 and 1872.
The twelve titles were sold individually for 25 cents or as a boxed set.
This series contains the books from two smaller six book sets:
"Bessie's Country Stories" and "Little Rosy's Travels".
Nothing distinguishes the books of the smaller series from the books of
this series. Only the original boxes would have indicated the series
that the book belonged to.
Two formats have been seen.
Format 1
Cloth. Multiple colors seen. Blindstamped. Title in gilt on the
spine. 4.5" x 3".
