2. Well Bred Girl by Anonymous (1841)

The first edition of the "Well Bred Boy" was published in 1839 by William Crosby and Co. The first edition of the "Well Bred Girl" was published in 1841 by William Crosby & Co. This firm also reprinted an edition of "Boy" in 1841 and both titles in 1845. Wm. Crosby & H. P. Nichols also published these titles in 1845 and 1846. It is unknown whether William Crosby published the books in 1844.

Later reprints were published by T. H. Carter and Company (1844). B. B. Mussey and Company (1850) published a book that contained both titles.

1839 first edition of "Well Bred Boy"

1841 first edition of "Well Bred Girl"

This book is hard to explain since William Crosby & Co. was no longer in business in 1845. By 1845 Crosby had joined Nichols to establish William Crosby and H. P. Nichols. Most likely this edition was published in 1845 but the title page imprint was not updated.
