Harper & Brothers introduced this series in 1884. Books were added over the next number of years.

In 1884 11 books were in this series. (#2-7, 10, 11, 14, 16)
Later in 1884 there were 14 books (#2-11, 14, 16, 18, 20)
Harper & Brothers published volumes #1-22 in 1886.
In 1887 #23-26 were added as well as the “In the same style books”.
#27 and 28 were added in 1888. In 1889 #29-33 were added.
#34 was added in 1890. In 1891 #35 was added to the series.

In 1894 Dorymates was deleted from this series and added to the Harper's Young People Series, Second Series.

Post - 1900 changes and pictures are beyond the scope of this bibliography.
